Project no.3: CITIZENS IN NUMBERS – STATISTICS AND VALUES
1. This is me!
Our students created their personal avatars and introduced themselves to their European partners, sharing their interests and personalities in a fun and creative way. This activity helped break the ice, foster connections, and build a sense of community within the project.
2. Our Logos, Our Voices
Our students from 3AU & 3Bi took part in a creative and collaborative activity in which they designed and proposed eTwinning logos for the project “Citizens in Numbers – Statistics and Values.” Working in groups, they reflected on the project’s core values, such as active citizenship, cooperation and digital culture, and translated their ideas into visual symbols.
3. Our Life in Numbers
Our students designed a survey to learn about young people’s daily habits and well-being in different European countries. After collecting the data, they created a video comparing Polish and Italian lifestyles, focusing on sleep, eating habits, screen time, digital balance, and physical activity.
4. Christmas in Numbers – A Comparative Study
Our students shot a video presenting a comparative analysis of Italian and Polish Christmas traditions. The study is based on surveys conducted with 65 students from our school and their peers in Poland, highlighting similarities and differences between the two cultures.
5. Christmas in Numbers – Infographics
Our students created infographics, visualizing holiday-related data in a creative and engaging way.
6. Behind the Numbers
Our students reflected on how misleading graphs can distort information and influence the way data is interpreted. Through examples and discussions, they explored how graphs can be manipulated by changing scales, omitting data, or using visual tricks that lead to biased conclusions.
7. Oxford-Style Debate on Graph Manipulation
Our students worked on the Oxford-Style Debate on graph manipulation.Through research, discussion, and teamwork, they explored how graphs can influence opinions and how data can sometimes be misleading. They prepared arguments, counterarguments, and presentations for their debate.
8. Citizens in Numbers: eBook, Glossary, online Gallery
Our students produced a final collaborative publication summarising the project’s results, analyses, and international comparisons.
