THIS IS ME!
Getting to know each other.
International Day of the Imprisoned Writer
On the International Day of the Imprisoned Writer, our students took part in a thoughtful discussion, reflecting on the importance of freedom of speech and the power of words in defending human rights.
The Joy of Reading
Our students created a multilingual video celebrating the Joy of Reading, featuring insights and reflections from our partner schools.
Erasmus & eTwinning in Action
We had a great time with students from our Erasmus & eTwinning partner school, “Lycée Victor Duruy (Mont-de-Marsan)”. Our pupils eagerly joined the eTwinning project, collaborated with their French peers, inaugurated the eTwinning wall, created haikus on peace and shared the magic of Christmas through their holiday recipes.
Cross-Cultural Haiku Workshop
Young voices writing and drawing about peace, tolerance, and mutual respect. Haikus written together with our French Erasmus/eTwinning friends (Erasmus+ incoming mobility – Lycée Duruy, 24-28/11/2025).
Voices from the Past
Students engaged with the duty of memory by giving voice to lives marked by war, dictatorship, exile, repression, and resistance.
Season’s Greetings
From Christmas tales to acrostics, quizzes, and foreign language cards, our students poured their creativity into gifts for our partner schools.
Christmas Workshop
Our students spread holiday cheer by crafting greeting cards for our eTwinning partner schools.
Christmas Recipes across Europe: LEER y XMAS
Our students joined international groups during the French pupils’ Erasmus+ mobility (24-28/11/2025 – Lycée Victor Duruy), sharing delicious traditional Christmas and New Year recipes from their home countries.
Connecting Through Stories – IIS Federico Caffè & IES Sedaví Sedaví
Our students from I.I.S. Federico Caffè and pupils from IES Sedaví Sedaví took part in a super exciting video call discussing “The Joy of Reading”, the key theme of our project. During the meeting, students shared their thoughts, experiences, and personal connections with books, discovering how reading can inspire, comfort, and bring people together across countries and cultures.
Young Writers in Action
Our students let their imagination run free by writing short stories that weave together collective memory, a journey around the world, magic, and a coming-of-age experience. The result is a collection of original, vivid, and engaging narratives that blend past and future, reality and imagination.
Bookmarks
Students turned their ideas into art, designing their own personalised bookmarks full of inspiring quotes and positive messages that reflect their personalities, ideas, and stories.
March 8th: International Women’s Day
Our students celebrated International Women’s Day by exploring the stories of inspiring women who made a difference in the 20th and 21st centuries, in medicine, science, literature, and politics. Many groups focused on remarkable Italian women who helped shape our society and inspire new generations, from Rita Levi-Montalcini to Margherita Hack and Grazia Deledda.
Virtual Library: World Book Day – April 23rd
Our students created a Virtual Library, designing the cover, spine, and back cover with the synopsis of their stories to celebrate World Book Day on April 23 with their European partners.
World Book and Copyright Day & English Language Day – April 23rd
On April 23rd our school celebrated World Book and Copyright Day & English Language Day, a dissemination event for our eTwinning Project “LEER Y CONT’ARTE”. Our students shared the activities they carried out throughout the year with the school community, presenting the different stages of the project and what they had learned along the way. One of the highlights was the vote for the most original and eye-catching book cover designed by the students for their stories about a magical journey around the world. We also organised a lively BookMOB on the football pitch, where students came together to celebrate reading in a fun and engaging way. To conclude the event, we opened our school BookCrossing, a dedicated space where students can pick, leave, and exchange books, promoting a love of reading and a spirit of sharing across the school community. A special thank you goes to our Headteacher, the eTwinning Team, our fellow teachers, our students and the administrative and support staff for their support and invaluable help in making this event possible.
Europe Day – May 9th
From the Schuman Declaration to today’s EU. Our students celebrated Europe Day, examining the Schuman Declaration, focusing on the importance of peace, inclusion, brotherhood, harmony and international cooperation between countries to address shared challenges and build a better future together. They recorded a short video carrying a message about what Europe represents today and what it could become in the future. UNITED IN DIVERSITY!
PROJECT DISSEMINATION
We held several dissemination initiatives throughout the year to promote the educational value of the eTwinning projects during the European Day of Languages celebration (26/09/2025), the Erasmus+ incoming mobilities, our School Open Days (08/11/2025 & 18/12/2025) and eTwinning events (14/04/2026 & 23/04/2026).
