Erasmus+: Progetto SteAm4sen - prosegue l’esperienza europea del Federico Caffe’
Il nostro Istituto, già coinvolto nel progetto Enable contro la dispersione scolastica, è ora membro di una nuova Partnership impegnata nel programma SteAm4sen. Si tratta di un partenariato strategico triennale - da settembre 2019 a febbraio 2022 - composto da scuole e associazioni italiane, portoghesi, bulgare, greche, lituane e maltesi che si sono incontrate durante il meeting di avvio del progetto il 28 e 29 ottobre scorso presso l’Agrupamento de Escolas Emídio Navarro ad Almada-Lisbona.
Il Progetto ha lo scopo di favorire l’inclusione scolastica attraverso un approccio creativo e interdisciplinare alla ricerca e all’innovazione. L’acronimo stesso del Progetto, infatti, combina felicemente le materie STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering e Maths) con il campo dell’Arte riprendendo un punto di vista che affonda le radici nella storia: Arte e Scienza sono connesse per natura.

Nel lungo termine SteAm4sen intende arricchire le competenze dei Partner, promuovere un lavoro collaborativo internazionale anche tra settori diversi e stimolare l’uso di una didattica innovativa che privilegi l’enquiry-based learning, un apprendimento basato sull’indagine, il metodo di ogni ricercatore scientifico insomma! Gli studenti che verranno selezionati dalle scuole dei paesi partner si comporteranno come ricercatori: saranno impegnati per alcuni mesi in un laboratorio di robotica e, attraverso la proposizione di domande, dovranno formulare ipotesi, risolvere problemi e capire fenomeni. I ragazzi avranno esperienza diretta di ciò che studieranno e potranno quindi costruire la loro comprensione della realtà proprio a partire dall’esperienza. Agli studenti sarà anche chiesto di produrre un video che racconti in modo creativo la loro partecipazione in questo processo di apprendimento che li vedrà protagonisti attivi del percorso didattico. L’obiettivo è dare ai nostri studenti l’opportunità di valorizzare le loro diverse abilità e competenze sociali, agevolare il lavoro cooperativo e favorire l’inclusione perché essi possano credere nelle proprie capacità ed esprimere al meglio le proprie potenzialità.
SteAm4sen Project – the European experience of Federico Caffe’ goes on
Our Institute, which has already been involved in the Erasmus+ Project Enable against early school leaving, is now taking part in another programme called SteAm4sen. This is a strategic Partnership lasting three years – from September 2019 till February 2022 – and composed of Italian, Portuguese, Bulgarian, Lithuanian, Greek and Maltese schools and associations. The kick-off meeting took place on the last 28th and 29th October at Agrupamento de Escolas Emídio Navarro in Almada-Lisbona.
The Project aims at enabling inclusion at school through a creative and multidisciplinary approach to research and innovation. The acronym itself, in fact, successfully combines STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) with the field of Art, which is a deep-rooted point of view in history: Art and Science are naturally connected.
In the long run, SteAm4sen aims also at developing Partners’ skills, at fostering international cooperation also among different sectors and at stimulating an innovative didactic approach which promotes the enquiry-based-learning, a methodology based on investigation used by research scientists. The students selected by the Partners’ Institutions will behave as scientific investigators: they will be engaged for some months in a robotic laboratory and through questions, they will formulate hypothesis, solve problems and understand phenomena. Thanks to hands-on activities, pupils will build their own understanding of reality. Students will also be asked to create a video in order to express in a creative way their engagement and active participation in the learning process. The main aims of the Project are also to enable cooperative learning and inclusion, thus allowing students to enhance their skills and social competences, so that they could believe in themselves and better express their full potential.
